Imperial Assault- IG-88

The assassin droid IG-88 is one of the weirder creations from Star Wars, knocked up from a few leftover bits and pieces. Easy to paint, though, and quite tall.

  1. I always thought that bunch of Bounty Hunters were excellent characters!

    1. Yep, you see this bunch of galactic weirdos standing on the Star Destroyer's bridge among the tidy, uniformed Imperials and it's one of those moments when Star Wars got really creative. Also it's not hard to sympathize with Piett who acts offended that they've been called in to do a job the military should be doing: "Bounty hunters! We don't need that scum!"

    2. Yeah, it really opens up the universe to storytelling.

  3. Sorry, this isn't a scratchbuild! What I meant was that the original robot was built from leftover set dressings from Ep IV, like a drinks dispenser from the cantina became his head.

I am looking forwards to getting Boba Fett later this year!

    1. I... I did not know that. Then again, Lucas' props makers were second to none.
