I painted some more hybrids to go with my shotgunners for potential Necromunda shenanigans.
Nothing says 'Necromunda gang' like a heavy stubber, and I was really happy with this hybrid in his Bane mask. I added a few cartridges on the ground out of plastic rod.

This hybrid will be my leader. I have a weak spot for chainswords with hazard stripes, because health and safety.

I love template weapons because I don’t have to roll to hit. This specialist with a flamer carries a spare orange fuel canister on his back.

I gave this guy a seismic cannon, which I like to think is a nod to the Rogue Trader/ Confrontation D-cannon. It jiggles you to death at a subatomic level.

Wonderful paint job.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lee!
DeleteThose looks great! That heavy gunner is my favorite. ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah, he's pure dakka.
DeleteNice work mate. I can't help myself with the hazard stripes either. Love the silliness of the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteOnce you surrender and embrace it, there's fun to be had.
DeleteCracking job mate. They all look awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Simon!
DeleteThese fellows look suitably menacing! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tim! They’re great fun.
DeleteI can think of fewer deaths that I would prefer to being jiggled at a subatomic level.
ReplyDeleteThese guys are up to your high standard - vibrant colours, great detail, lots of character. I agree that the heavy subber is an oddly attractive weapon in 40K. As I recall from my Rogue Trader days, it's not a bad weapon either. I mean, it won't jiggle anyone to death, but still.
It’s how I want to go.
DeleteGreat additions to the Cult. Nice use of the traditional colours without looking too garish. They look suitably grim & sinister.
ReplyDeleteI just can’t cope with the non-traditional colours. Blue and purple FTW!
