Zomtober- Last Night on Earth survivors 3

As Zomtober draws to a grisly close, here's my final batch- the remaining LNoE survivors. Three of the figures are alternate poses of earlier figures, which is a bit annoying. I'd rather have had three new characters.

This guy has a bit of a baby face, which is frustrating. He otherwise looks like he's come from a Siberian penal battalion.
Jake Cartwright, drifter
Nikki is one of the most sensibly equipped and outfitted survivors. I'd join her band to escape the zompocalyspe!
Nikki, bush pilot
I quite like this determined pose.
Sally, high school sweetheart
You can't quite see it, but this guy has a pencil behind his right ear. I am not entirely happy with his tie.
Mr Goddard, chemistry teacher
This sculpt was uninspiring. It was my first time doing a checked shirt- I don't envy those of you with highland regiments!

Ed Baker, lumberjack
This paintjob also suffers from babyface.

Sheriff Anderson, small town lawman
I was really happy with Jade's hair and leggings. I did her face with extra white for that goth look, but my photo is a bit out of focus. She's carrying a skateboard.
Jade, high school outcast
I like this guy's stogie and bald head.
Sam, the diner cook
Stacy's notepad came out better than I thought it would. It could also be a tablet, as she searches for a WiFi signal.
Stacy, Investigative reporter

That's it for Zomtober for me! Here's my output, 14 zombies and 24 survivors:
Last Night on Earth

As I commented last week, there is a lack of diversity in this figure range. There's also a lack of imagination with the names: Johnny, Kenny, Stacy, Nikki, Becky, Sally, Billy and Jenny all feature!

It has been great to get all these figures done this month! Thanks to all my Zomtober comrades who have inspired me:
Fantorical - Blaxkleric
Saturday Mornings - Ivor Evans
28mm Victorian Warfare - Michael Awdry
Miniature Mayhem - Terry Silverthorn
Cheaphammer!!! - Kieron
Lead Reckoning - Fred Jackson
Never Mind The Jankers - Roy Williamson
The Wargaming Addict - Wargaming Addict

Zomtober- Last Night on Earth survivors 2

I'm kicking along nicely with the survivors. Mostly a basecoat with a wash, highlights if I feel like it, and a bit more time on the faces.

Sister Ophelia is a 'reformed nun', whatever that means. Black wash over dark grey- needs some antishine.
Sister Ophelia, reformed nun
Kenny is throwing Campbell's soup tins at the oncoming hordes. Warhol would be proud at this social commentary.
Kenny, supermarket bag boy. Acrylic on plastic (2017)
 G-man, nice pose, useful figure.
Agent Carter, FBI
Amanda- I hope she decides to wear something more practical if she makes it through the night... She'll be useful in any slasher film scenario. The dress is blue undercoat, silver, blue wash.
Amanda, prom queen
Alice could do with a bit more attention to her hair, but I like the colour of her dress.
Alice, diner waitress
I like how Jake's face came out. He looks like he'd survive.
Jake Cartwright, drifter
I'm still challenged by getting a smooth orange. I quite like how Victor came out overall.
Victor, escaped prisoner
Detective Winters is the only black character... at least she's very cool. I tried to channel a bit of Kima Greggs from The Wire.
Detective Rachelle Winters

Zomtober- Last Night on Earth survivors 1

Here's my first batch of survivors from Last Night on Earth.

Becky is appropriately dressed in protective clinical attire similar to many nurses I have known. I added some shotgun shells to her base.
Becky, Nurse

I worked out a quick way to do denim: blue-grey, followed by Army Painter Blue Tone.
Johnny, High School Quarterback

I did a little OSL on the reverend's arm.
Father Joseph, man of the cloth

Sheriff Anderson's got a bit of Rick Grimes going on. You can't really see it properly, but I added a stripe to his trousers.
Sheriff Anderson, small town lawman

Denim again on Sally.
Sally, high school sweetheart

Jenny, the farmer's daughter. Pure cheesecake.
Jenny, the farmer's daughter

I like that the flare gun and gas can tell a story, although I don't think you can use them like this in the game.
Billy, the Sheriff's son

Zomtober zombies

I participated in Zomtober 2015, but wasn't able to last year. I've resumed painting my Last Night on Earth zombies, and finished my main horde with another fourteen zombies. They paint up so fast!

Brains....

With 2015's crop

I've started on the survivors, they're a pleasant change of pace from the Deathwatch!
