From Slaanesh to Slann- these are the last things to come off my painting queue before I knuckle down for the Analogue Challenge.

This team was a true crowdfunder by a fan (J-Bone) rather than a company, and they are an absolute delight. They're single piece white metal with a variety of poses and distinguishable positional players. You'll recall I did a frog referee as a test a few months ago. It's an added painting challenge to prevent greenskinned players from blending into the pitch.

I've never played them, but I've got my hopes really high that they will suit my crazy risky playstyle*.

I've still got a few more staff and star players to finish off, but will leave them until after the Challenge.

40K Slaanesh Chaos Marines

These are from GW's Assassinorum game, which I picked up relatively cheap second hand. They may see some Kill Team action. I quite like the hot pink, it will be delightfully obnoxious on the battlefield. It was a bit refreshing to do a quick and nasty job on these.

The Terminator Sorcerer had been assembled but not de-flashed to my liking, so I tore him apart and cleaned him up before reassembly and painting. There was much swearing in the disassembly. He comes with a familiar, which is used as a turn marker in the game.

I'd painted one of the marines before, and his similar brothers now join him.

I've got a small horde of cultists to get through, and will aim to get some done before the Analogue Challenge kicks off.

I still haven't settled on a chapter or cult name.

An important spray undercoat accessory, reforged

A few years ago I made Excalibur out of balsa wood and magnetic tape. She was used to hold washer-based figures for prepping with spray undercoat in a rotisserie style, as it really helps the spray reach all the nooks and crannies.

Unfortunately, I broke her by ill-advisedly using her to beat the dust out of a carpet...

With the Analogue Challenge IX approaching, I'm in full prep mode again (I hate prepping). I visited my local hardware store and got some self-adhesive magnetic tape and a metre of wood. I also got a steel post for use with figures with magnets under their bases.

I thus present Narsil and Andúril!

I've kept the tape central on Narsil, so that I can hold it at either end and get the spray where I need it.
