Deathwatch Space Wolf

My next Deathwatch is the Space Wolf, Drenn Redblade. He's a great, dynamic pose, but still a challenge to get looking good as it is such a busy sculpt.

How does he fit his hair into his helmet?

The runic writing on the chainsword was a pain to highlight.

  1. Great work Barks! I assume that the hair is retractable when a helmet needs to be worn. They have a gene-seed for that, I'm sure.

  2. Fabulous job on such a wonderfully characterful miniature.

  3. Another cracker mate. How many have you got to do in total?

    1. I think there's ten or eleven in total. I'm quite looking forwards to getting them off my back!

  4. Great work Barks - looks the part (of a pyscho guys who would rather run at the enemy with a knife than use the slung bolder on his back) indeed!

    1. Thanks, Paul! Ranged combat is for wimps.

  5. He looks fab, Barks. You handled the business of the sculpt really well - I like how you have only a few true highlights -- his mohawk, his kneepad, etc. It makes him very dramatic. Well done!

    1. It's hard to minimise the spot colours! I do like this dynamic sculpt.
