Saga Revenants

These are Gripping Beast's Revenants, a six point Saga force. They are a good blend of horrific and comical, and take a slapdash paint job really well.

They come with two Grave Pits, that can be moved about the battlefield and 'erupted' into fresh undead units.

I got a Draugr from Elladan to use as their leader. It is a lovely model, albeit fragile around the arms.

The snow is PVA glue, baking soda, and a smidgen of Secret Weapon crushed glass.

These were the last thing I painted for the Analogue Painting Challenge, and it's been hard to pick up a brush after that! I even forgot to post here last week...

    I like these figures alot. They make a cohesive force. Scale wise how do they compare with other figures of a similar undead disposition ?

    This is a really fantastic force Barks and was a highlight of the Challenge for me. I agree with Michael- the creepy glowing eyes add a wonderful focal point to the army.

    Looking forward to hearing how they are on the table - Winter is Coming!

    Its unanimous, the eyes have it! Lve your undead warband, I've never had a chance to play the Revenants.

    Barks, you magnificent bastard! I just finished painting up the Revenants myself and am working on getting the pictures up. But yours are so gorgeous, I will be ashamed.
    Have you played with them yet? I'd love to hear your thoughts. I hosted one game between Vikings and Revenants and it went really well - I think they're a fun and thematic faction.
