40K Lamenters Eradicators

More yellow marines! These are Eradicators, with the bulky Gravis armour and wielding heavy bolters. If I must quibble, I wish they were backpack-belt-fed rather than magazine-fed, just for rule-of-cool.

There are shell casings pouring from the ejection port on this heavy bolter. I'm not really a fan and would have left them off if I could have.

40K Lamenters Intercessors

These are the latest Intercessor miniatures; Intercessors being your base model Space Marine. They're superb sculpts with great posing and motion.

They've got a subtle mix of different armour parts that I can live with.

I painted them with my yellow technique and then hand-painted the chapter iconography. The left knee colour shows Third Company, and the right pauldron is for the 5th Battleline Squad.

Sergeant has a black stripe on his helmet.

There's impressive motion implied by the twisting sling.

40K Lamenters Land Speeder

Land Speeder. Speeder of Land.

I don't love painting vehicles, but was keen to get this iconic skimmer done. It doesn't have any running gear which is nice. In the photos I can now see flaws, missed bits and errors but I'll call it a day. The checks and heart decals are from Mighty Brush and Impatient Tabletop. The hearts are slightly translucent in the photos, but I hadn't noticed before. It is tempting to go overboard with numbers and markings.

I wanted to have the pilot firing a bolt pistol because it is cool/ metal, but couldn't find a suitable left arm. I freehanded the shoulder checks and hearts.

I'm pretty happy with the simple all-green displays.

I made a flight stand from clear perspex rod and UV resin, inspired by this Hellstorm Wargaming short:

It worked really well as far as I am concerned.

I also magnetised the heavy flamer and gatling cannon.
