Tom Bombadil & Goldberry

Hey dol! merry dol! ring a ding dillo!
Ring along! hop along! Fal lal the willow
Tom Bom, jolly Tom, Tom Bombadillo!

Tom Bombadil & Goldberry

Tom Bombadil is Tolkien's most enigmatic figure. He's also often the first major hurdle many first-time LotR readers encounter. I really like this sculpt which captures the Hildebrandt magic.

His wife, Goldberry, is a river spirit. I don't usually add flowers to bases- this was a good exception.

  1. Lovely figures... I always had a soft spot for Tom Bombadil (even with all the singing!)

  2. Oh, what a lovely pair! Yes, Bombadil can be a controversial character for the fandom, but I think he embraces much of Tolkien's philosophy on nature and good things. I think you made a fine work on both minis!

  3. While Bombadil and Goldberry represent pastoral idylls, the whole thing with the tree trying to eat the hobbits was pure nightmare fuel. Thanks for leaving that out 😄
