Last week's abhuman squatters were resin 3D printed Tactical Space Dwarfs from a recent Kickstarter. This was from Capritor Miniatures in Canada. They printed pretty well, and I used Contrast paint without highlights to get them to the tabletop very quickly.
My sole quibble is the identical mohawks. In the age of digital sculpting, alternative heads can easily provide a lot of variety. The tattoos were quite a fun way to reduce that sameness. The orange shoulder flashes and turquoise sights add a splash of colour.
Fun stuff! Good on the color schemes, gritty yet cool.ReplyDelete
Thank you! I was happy to knock them out quickly.Delete
I like the design of them all. You are right about the mohawk issue, but the poses work really well. I like them, it's a nice twist to the classic space Dwarf theme. You did a lovely job, the colours work perfectly and the tatoos are top notchReplyDelete
Thanks, Suber. I do think the poses are organic and dynamic, which was a good selling point.Delete
I guess a mohawk makes them look taller :)ReplyDelete
Very nicely painted.
